On the side of the advantages, I think there are so many things that we can cite here. However, the most popular pros considered by many people include its cosmetic value and functional benefit. On the side of the cons, I think the biggest negative traits of plastic surgery have something to do with its cost and possible side effects. This article will explain to you these further in the section below.

On the one hand, when it comes to the advantages of undergoing plastic surgery, a lot of people would tell you about its cosmetic value. What this means is that by having or undergoing it, you are improving or enhancing your physical attributes. These are because among the most popular procedures being conducted or performed before and even now include the Botox treatments, facelift, nose lift, liposuction and the like. As you can notice, these procedures are primarily intended in making the physical attributes of a person more beautiful according to the social standards.

However, this does not mean that plastic surgery is just all about physical attributes and vanity. I mentioned this because there are also other procedures that are being done in order to restore and reconstruct body parts due to functional reasons. In others words, these procedures are being done in order to bring back the function of a specific body part.

On the other hand, when it comes to the disadvantages of plastic surgery, I think the most popular has something to do with the cost. Well, this is because there are so many people who still cannot afford such procedure even if they really need it for practical reasons and not just for cosmetic purpose. As a matter of fact, the population of people who undergo plastic surgery still belongs to the bracket of people with relatively higher level of income. This is because they can afford to do so.

Furthermore, aside from the costs involved for the plastic surgery, the side effects are also among the major considerations of many people. As a matter of fact, even rich people are affected by this because the trend states that people turn very skeptical about a certain procedure if it has questionable safety issues. Of course, no one would want to risk their lives just for vanity reasons.
